General information about the scanner

• The scanner can be fed with one fish at a time or together (several fish at the same time) as long as the fish are not covering each other significantly.
• Fish to be scanned are fed into the scanner with a conveyor
• Data from the scanner is available on the PC screen in the factory/plant/vessel
• Can be used as a “weight”. Starting point for sorting fish, recording catches, basis for catch diary, recording fish for production, etc.

Overview per species

• Number of fish
• Total weight
• Number of fish in each weight class
• Number of fish above/below a given length

Species

• The scanner has been developed to determine cod, pollock and haddock. Other species will be defined as “Other”
• The scanner can be expanded to detect X number of species, including redfish, ling, tusk, catfish, halibut.

Physical measures

• The scanner can be mounted on conveyors with a width of 200 – 600mm.
• The minimum height of the scanner is approx. 900mm above conveyor
• The minimum length of the scanner is 300mm, but typically 600mm.

Electrical specifications

• Power supply can be 230-440V, 10A. Internal control current of 24V.
• Automatic detection and adjustment of settings for conveyor speed (if scanner is supplied with conveyor and frequency converter from Melbu Systems)

Maintenance

• Cleaning of glass before starting scanning
